What Makes Air Equipment Different

Traditional cattle handling can be tough on both people and livestock. RPM’s Air Equipment replaces manual effort with controlled pneumatic operation. Each movement is smooth, quiet and consistent, giving producers more control with less strain.

By removing the heavy lifting and reducing yard noise, these systems promote calm handling, lower injury risk and improve overall workflow. From weighing and drafting to crush operation, every task becomes faster and safer.

With decades of on-ground experience, RPM designs each component based on real producer feedback. The result is gear that performs in tough Australian conditions and stands up to years of daily use.

Key Benefits for Beef Producers

  • Low-Stress Handling: Smooth air-powered movement keeps cattle calm and responsive.
  • Improved Safety: Reduces physical strain on handlers and minimises risk of accidents.
  • Time Efficiency: Faster processing allows more cattle to be handled in less time.
  • Durable Construction: Fully galvanised frames built to withstand Australian conditions.

Why choose RPM

Handling calves safely and efficiently is a vital part of every beef producer’s operation. At RPM, we know that the foundation of a strong herd starts with proper calf management. Our Calf Equipment range is purpose-built to support producers in performing key tasks such as tagging, branding, weighing, and treatment with maximum safety and minimum stress — for both handler and animal.

Constructed from fully galvanised Australian steel, every piece of calf gear is engineered for strength, stability and long-term performance. The smooth, quiet operation helps reduce fear and agitation in young stock, promoting calmer handling and better animal welfare outcomes. By ensuring safe restraint and easy access, these systems allow you to work faster and more efficiently, improving both productivity and profitability.

Built for Performance and Protection

Calves require a gentler approach than mature cattle, and our designs reflect that. Rounded edges, anti-slip floors, and adjustable fittings are standard features across the range. The equipment is designed to fit seamlessly within existing yard layouts, making it easier to integrate with RPM races, crushes and weighing systems.

With decades of experience in livestock handling design, RPM engineers every product to withstand the rigors of Australian conditions; from the hot, dry inland to the humid coastal regions. The result is reliable, hard-wearing equipment that continues performing year after year with minimal maintenance.

Purpose-Built Solutions for Every Operation

The Calf Equipment range includes two key systems that form the core of efficient calf handling:

Calf Cradle: Engineered for secure restraint, the cradle is ideal for tagging, vaccination, dehorning, and branding. It allows handlers to work confidently and precisely while reducing stress on the calf. The cradle’s balanced design makes it easy for one person to operate, saving time and labor costs.

Calf Race: Designed for smooth, continuous calf flow, the race helps reduce baulking and crowding, ensuring calves move calmly through the yard. The solid sides limit visual distractions, and the adjustable gates allow flexible operation for various yard setups.

Together, the cradle and race create a complete, low-stress system that promotes safety, consistency and efficiency throughout early-stage cattle management.
